Keith's Stories and Projects

Welcome to my Stories and Projects page. Although I have utilized a web-page at the Oroville Eternal Riders Chapter of the Christian Motorcycle Association, (a site I maintain), the material presented here is not part, or associated with the Oroville Eternal Riders Website.

This is a private page.

BIKE DOWN!

No injuries or damage,

just embarrassment.

<--- This picture was taken near Wellington Kansas,  The summer of 2005. I was attending an event called "A.I.R.FEST"  the largest gathering of amateur  rocketry in the USA. This was really a worthwhile event, the largest rocket they flew was 21 feet long with a total of 10 engines. It really did not fly all too well due to a strong wind that blew it parallel to the ground shortly after launch. Pretty spectacular! The event was held way out in a farmers field and the grass had been cut for the event however, when mowed, the tractor left some deep ruts. Then the grass grew a bit and concealed the ruts. The Trailer tongue was in a heck of a bind no doubt, but no damage. It was a somewhat "different way" to make an impression and meet some of the rocketeer's. It worked though, I had friends for the rest of the 3 day event.

Road Trip 2003

7,400 Miles across America on a Harley Heritage Softail.

39 pages with pictures

"Once, while I was looking at the bike from my semi-protected area, there was a crash and I saw a wall of green water come over the rail, and completely drench my bike. Great! I hope it starts when it is time to go".

Motorcycle Trailer Project

Several photos of the motorcycle trailer I built with help from the Delphi Motorcycle Trailing Forum folks. This last summer (2005) I towed this trailer 6,300 miles on a trip to Kansas City, Little Rock and some other places. I am very happy with how well this trailer towed and how well it stored and protected my gear.

Biblical Artifacts in the Red Sea

This is a journal of a dive expedition to the Red Sea. The objective was to re-locate artifacts, left over from the crossing of the Red Sea by the Jews. On previous trips, chariot wheels and horses hooves were found at this site. 29 Pages with pictures.  Expanded Section

"A tremendous wave of dread envelops me as I become awash with adrenaline; my new “dive buddy”, and together, we decide to ascend to the surface"

Spare Fuel Can and Chock Block

Holder Project

This is the solution to a problem of how to store both the chock blocks and the small fuel can on my new motorcycle trailer. I wanted a solution that would be both light weight and inexpensive, this one ended up being both.

"The air is smooth and the engines sound strong  and faithful. It is an unreal dream-like feeling as we zoom along our low slice  of the earth. This is the scorpion  census  run  I've heard Merle talk about before, (I'll bet they don't usually do this either!)"

Flight to Phoenix

My excellent ride in a 1945 WWII bomber. 6 pages.

Trailer Venting System

Because of the black color of the Sears car top carrier that I used for my trailer, and the heat that would be generated inside, I wanted to have some airflow at least when motoring down the road. This inexpensive solution is what I came up with.

"To me, there is something special about the weather gone  wild, and being in the middle of it. I don't  think I have  ever  felt as alive as I have when  I  was  living this adventure, nor so small.

 "

Racing the Storm

An exciting ride home from work, 2 pages.

Question, When is a trailer bumper not a bumper?

Answer, When it's a lug wrench

Trailer Bumpers / Lug Wrench

I have been "lugging" around a 1/2 inch breaker bar to use, if, and when, I need to change one of the trailer tires. I always like to find ways to multi task whenever possible. This is what I came up with.

- Site of Gomorrah -

Is this an Idol's face?

A series of photos from the area of the Dead Sea thought to be Gomorrah, as in "Sodom and Gomorrah". Lots of interesting formations and photos of sulfur balls.

Easy-Star Airplane

I have been having a lot of fun with this foam airplane. I have had several "terrible crashes" with this plane including, twice into a stream an an unplanned landing in a tree. My sweet wife did a power-dive into the asphalt and the airplane only suffered minor damage.

    Felt - Motored Bike Project

My latest project is turning a Felt MP bicycle into a moped. It is sort of like having a series of puzzles to figure out. I still have some work left to do.

Codes in the Bible prove the existence of God

I have been studying the phenomenon of the Bible Codes for about 5 years. This 6 page MS Word file explains the basic facts and provides links for additional study
