Want to change you life, for
the better?
I'm ready to turn my life over to
God, please, cut to the chase
|
1. An orderly, careful approach
1.
Facts
2.
Faith (trust)
3.
Feelings (hope, contentment based on faith, based
on facts)
It is
critical to establish a belief in the following order because
faith can be in the wrong thing or person and feelings can be
misleading. In the analogy of a house:
Facts = The
foundation
Faith = The
Structure
Feelings = The
Paint
The paint
or the structure cannot do the job of the foundation; only the
foundation can provide the necessary stability for the rest of
the house. The foundation must be properly constructed with
quality materials on solid ground or, the whole house will fail. |

2. The
Bible (It is worthy of your trust)
The
Bible is unique and without equal. Written by more than 40
authors over a time period of 1,500 years yet it does not
contradict itself. It is full of prophecies about people and
nations, which came true. No other book has withstood
concerted efforts to burn and ban as the Bible has, yet it still
remains a best seller. The message of the Bible has totally
changed people’s lives for the good. What many people don’t
realize is that the New Testament contains eyewitness
accounts of the ministry of Jesus Christ and that most of the
authors who recorded these events, died up-holding what they
believed. The Bible is well supported by early manuscript
evidence and archaeological discoveries continue to support the
truthfulness of the Bible. I have seen the Dead Sea Scroll of
Isaiah that is 2000 years old. I have also been to the place of
the Red Sea Crossing, Gomorrah and the empty tomb of Jesus. The
things told about in the Bible were real events, which happened
at real places. One would expect that a book telling about God
would be a unique book. Have you
ever seriously considered that the Bible could be God’s
instructions to us?

3. An overview of Gods plan
God’s plan for us is not complex. It is
simply that He wants a family, so he created the universe
and the earth and He created us with many of His own attributes
like:
1.
The ability to love and
need to be loved.
2.
The ability to create life
and experience a family.
3.
The ability to remember
things, think and make decisions.
4.
The ability to choose
between doing good and evil.
5.
A physical body so that we
can to do the things we think and choose to do.
But unlike God, we are in temporary,
mechanical-like bodies contained on the earth. God could have
made us perfect in every way, even that we would love him with
every fiber of our being, but then we would have become like
programmed robots saying “I love you” without choice. Without a
choice, the robot’s words are soon meaningless.
God with his awesome power could certainly
reveal Himself to us at any time by rolling back the heavens but
at that moment our ability to choose would be gone. We would all
be convinced that there was a God and would all feel compelled
to worship Him, but God desires people that will love Him,
even though we don’t have to. So here we are isolated on the
earth and exposed to the influences of good and evil so we could
choose between them. God wants to have a people to fellowship
with Him forever, but He will not force Himself on anyone.
God first revealed Himself and His righteous character through
the 10 commandants, which because nobody could keep perfectly
the system included a sacrificial system using the blood of
blameless animals to bridge the gap. This sacrificial system was
an object lesson or picture of the coming of Jesus to be the
final sacrifice and a bridge to God. Several prophesies relating
to Jesus and many aspects of His life were foretold in the Old
Testament hundreds of years before His arrival. When Jesus came,
He set the righteousness standard even higher than the 10
Commandments by saying things like “if you have lust for another
mans wife, you have already committed adultery with her in your
heart”. This showed that God’s rightness standards are so high
that it is impossible that we can achieve them on our own and
God knowing that, sent His Son Jesus to be our only bridge for
us to get to Him. This turned our salvation from being
something we do, to something God has done for us. We just
need to accept it and trust. While many, maybe you included,
feel that it is not fair that Jesus is the only way. Is it
reasonable to think we can somehow modify or change God’s plan
or suggest a more fair way? Many of today’s religions attempt to
modify God’s plan through some self-proclaimed prophet’s words.
They will not succeed.

4. Your Choice
This
life is your time of choice. Our choice is to accept or reject
the wonderful gift that God sent us. I am talking about a
personnel relationship with the God of the universe through
trusting in His Son. To rejects Jesus, is to reject the only
bridge that God has provided us. For those who accept God’s
gift, all of the questions at the start of this booklet are
answered. The Apostle John in 3:16 & 17, quotes Jesus:
For God so loved the world that He gave
His only unique Son that whoever believes in Him will not
perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into
the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him
might be saved. I am hopeful that you will seriously
consider accepting Jesus as your Savior or at least start a
quest to answer these important questions.
You
know, God has a way that He works inside people, to bring him to
Himself. Have you felt in your heart of hearts the pull of God?
Has the truth of His love for you, been presented to you time
and time again during your life? Was it just a coincidence that
you found this or is this another incidence of God knocking at
your hearts door? Please accept Jesus as your Savior. There is
no need to “clean up your life” before you come to Him. He wants
you just as you are.

5. Salvation, (becoming right with God)
A plan so simple, even a child can understand.
For we are all children in God’s Eyes.
1. Confess to God that you are a sinner deserving of judgment.
(Ref. Romans 3:23 & 6:23).
2. Believe in your heart, that Christ died for your sins, and
that He came to life
again. (Romans 10:9-10).
3. Now pray this prayer: Heavenly Father, thank
you for loving me, for sending Jesus to die in my place, to
suffer and shed His blood so I could be forgiven and my sins
forgotten. I give you my life and I ask for your power to help
me be the kind of person that you want me to be. You’ve worked
for me on the cross; now work in me to change me. Lord, I pray
that my life will bring you glory and bring you pleasure. In
Jesus name, Amen
Now that’s done, maybe you felt something change just now, maybe
you didn’t, and it doesn’t matter. Just believe that things have
changed. Now go and tell someone, you know that person, the one
who really believes in Jesus and is really a Christian. Tell him
(or her) about your prayer, and that you are trusting Jesus.
Then allow them to lead you in your walk with the Lord. Pray and
read some of God Word (the Bible) daily. Start with the Gospel
of John - John's eyewitness account of what Jesus said and did
while on this earth. Stay away from denominations that rely on
“extra writings”. God bless you!
